IRON MAIDEN (1975-present)
Style: Heavy-metal

Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band from east London. The band were formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, formerly a member of Gypsy's Kiss and Smiler. Iron Maiden are one of the most successful and influential bands in the heavy metal genre, having sold 80 million albums worldwide. The band won the Ivor Novello award for international achievement in 2002.

The band have headlined several major events in its career, notably Rock in Rio, Ozzfest alongside Black Sabbath, Donington's "Monsters of Rock", "Download" Festivals and the "Reading and Leeds Festivals."

Although Iron Maiden are a heavy metal band, influenced by Thin Lizzy and Deep Purple, their earlier music had punk overtones.

Iron Maiden's mascot, Eddie, is a perennial fixture in the band's horror-influenced album cover art, as well as in live shows. Eddie was drawn by Derek Riggs until 1992, but has had various incarnations by numerous artists, the most notable being Melvyn Grant. Eddie is also featured in a first-person shooter video game from the band, Ed Hunter, as well as numerous books, graphic comics and band-related merchandise.

*nods* Hell yes! Though...The X-Factor and Virtual XI are kinda...bad albums... Neutral Blaze Bailey isn't very good singer...Bruce Dickinson is much better!Tnx to god he's back...IMO He's one of the best singers in the whole world. Everytime I watch Rock In Rio I'm about to collapse, his performing, singing, acting, everything! But... Paul Di'Anno ain't bad as well, he has awesome voice too, why the hell he just left the band only becoz of alcohol and drugs...
Errm... Who's your favourite IM member anyway? Razz

Hmmm, probably Steve Harris. Don't know why, he's just cool. But I love Bruce for writing Bring Your Daughter! Such a cool song!

And I also love the Wicker Man, that guitar solo gives me the shivers! Okay
